Very big fan of the series, and your work.

This episode has a few major flaws though,

1. There's a real big lack of color in the beginning. I'm wondering how hard it could have been to use the red fill for mag's and wanda's armor, just to help seperate them.

2. There is very little humor in these. A lot of the jokes you've used here fall flat, however this is perhaps just me, it's a bit early to tell if everyone else finds this funny. I found it very weak, but your work no matter what up until this point was very strong. I look forward to your next projects whatever they may be. Your comic thoughts are always welcome in my opinion, and my friend all laugh hard at your stuff.

3. This simply feels a bit rushed.

4. Part of the entire problem is that the end of the House of M... was terrible, and you're trying to turn crap to comedy gold. Ah well. You've really done well with your series though.

Best wishes, and if I had a simple request, I'd love to see you tackle either Howard the Duck, or the Batman series and related spinoffs. Hell Teen Titans(the comic, not the cartoon) could be a gold mine for just tossing shit in. Though the comedy gold right now is Infinite Crisis Redux.

Best wishes, and I look forward to your works.

Very distinct.

Your use of sharp images, mixed with blurry energy lines and distorted fuzz serves you well. In the initial portion, everything had that tinge of being awake up late and you want to sleep but there is a lot to look at and do and you can't stop thinking. The only thing in this I don't get, is why does the knob on the tv turn? Is there any purpose to this?

ScarletYarn responds:

If you click on the knob while the movie is playing, it jumps rewinds about a second and a half. Part of this experience is supposed to be that at any given time you can go backwards, but you can never propel it forwards faster than it's meant to go.

Great Stuff Strange. <3

You did very well, and the pick a clock part is very innovative!

Good job all around, and always enjoy your work.

Much Vday Clock <3

Bitterclock.

Interesting flash however...

Joining in on socio and geo economic reform policy is better put at government level, because a mayoral position only lasts so long vs a sustained government position. The only reason you may be looking at a mayoral position in this case is because you hope to instigate some kind of revolution in the world.

However, a city by city basis doesn't work unless you have a truly organized network. Every little bit helps I suppose, but creating a penguin flash versus actually getting out on the streets and cleaning them is an entirely seperate matter. You are asking us to give time and energy whereas there is no guarentee that any of this is worthwhile. In the absolute worst case scenario, the penguins themselves become protected by laws, and forced into a wildlife sanctuary, but this is a step down from natural living.

You've tacked on the penguin as a sort of mascot in this, but ignored the fact that with nearly everything we do, we kill things. Every time I walk, I crush countless bugs under my feet. I hunt and kill in the woods for food. Not because I need it to live, but because I like the taste. Every time we actually log in to the computer, we use energy. Energy that is taken from countless places, and from land that animals once lived on.

Personally I think that you are living a dream world until you start making changes and showing people that it can work, instead of actually going 'Gee, wouldn't it be neat if we all ruled cities and could control trash and energy policy?'

This movie really wants to make me go and punt a penguin, but I think that may be the point. To at least get us off our asses doing something.

Decent animation overall though.

Best wishes,
Jonas

Appreciated your review a lot... I gotta say, that the extremes that are shown in the movie are definitely a dream. However, small steps can be taken, and as you said, its supposed to make you get off your ass and do something. But to provoke reviews like this, that make people stand up for their own viewpoints, is exactly what I wanted from this film. If anything, I want people to see my viewpoint of climate change, even if it is somewhat farfetched and not an overnight process.

The US government isnt jumping at kyoto, so maybe a state or city level initiative will do it, so I dont know. We'll see what happens, and in the mean time, thanks for your great review.
